Born and raised in the small town of Felixville, Louisiana, my childhood was spent in the woods. A strong love for the outdoors was placed in my heart at an early age, and I killed my first deer at the age of seven, following with my first turkey a couple years later. I took my first deer with a bow at the age of ten, and have been captivated by the thrill ever since. As far as a favorite species to hunt, it's hard to say. However, if I had one day left to hunt, I would spend it chasing a hammering longbeard on a cool, crisp, spring morning. To me, hunting is not simply a hobby. It is a means for me to connect with the beauty of God's creation and has shaped me in the the God-fearing country boy that I am today.
My day to day job is managing several thousand acres of property for hunting, sitting on a tractor or a bulldozer is pretty much my day everyday. I enjoy the challenge of setting up a piece of property in order to utilize it to the fullest to grow big mature deer. For me to be able to coincide my love for hunting and my fulltime job is a dream come true and feel blessed for it daily.
